What is housing regeneration?
The major housing regeneration programmes
currently underway in the borough are in the Klondyke and
Road/Bedford Road areas of Bootle.
Regeneration and investment in housing is
necessary to address a range of issues. As the Strategic Housing
Authority, Sefton is responsible for ensuring that housing in the
borough is ‘fit for purpose’ and meets the needs of residents.

stakeholders, including the private sector, registered providers of
housing (Housing Associations), the voluntary sector, business

Funding for housing regeneration comes from a
range of different sources including government, registered
providers, grant giving bodies, from Council resources, or
from the private sector.
