Richard Digance: The Platinum Tour 2019

English comedian and folk singer Richard Digance tours the UK in 2019  doing what he loves best, telling stories, playing the guitar and singing songs. This year there’s a whole new show having shaken off the nostalgic trip of 50 years last year.

With a BAFTA Nomination as TV Entertainer Of The Year and Gold Award recipient from The British Academy of Composers, he turned his back on showbiz for his first love of music and live performance. – 4,000 live shows, 62 British tours, 14 books, 3 stage plays, 32 albums and nearly 4 million YouTube visits says it all.

He composed the audio book music for Bill Bryson’s best-seller ‘The Road To Little Dribbling’. Richard’s Animal Alphabet poems, serialised by The BBC, are used as English Teaching Aids in 14 countries from The USA to Swaziland and his guitar instrumentals are used on numerous TV productions. He supported Robin Williams at The London Palladium, and supported Steve Martin in The USA. On TV he played guitar with Queen’s Brian May, Status Quo and The Moody Blues. Yes, after 50 years he’s still doing what he loves. He also composes incidental and soundtrack music for Film, TV, Radio, Documentaries and Audio Books.

The Lindisfarne Story

The Lindisfarne Story is an affectionate and enthusiastic celebration of one of the UK’s most original and successful groups. Written and performed by former front-man Billy Mitchell and founder member Ray Laidlaw, the show takes the audience on a trip through fifty years of the Geordie group’s history from its 1960s beginnings in the pubs and clubs of Tyneside to the concert halls and festivals of the present day.
The story is told through the groups classic songs, rare and unseen video, audio clips and private photographs linked together with tall tales and scurrilous gossip.  From Whitley Bay to Frisco Bay, from Rothbury to Glastonbury, the Lindisfarne Story is a brilliant evening’s entertainment.
Since 2015, the Lindisfarne Story has toured the UK with over 120 concerts to critical acclaim.  It has been performed in theatres, arts centres and festivals plus a history making show on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and another on a North Sea cruise.

£20 plus booking fee. Booking fee is £1 per ticket online/phone.
