Mr Stink - by David Walliams

Southport Theatre at the Waterfront, The Promenade, Southport, PR9 0DZ
The very kind, but lonely 12 year old Chloe, invites ‘Mr Stink’ and his slightly wiffy dog to leave behind the wooden bench they call home and secretly move into her family’s shed. Matters become more complicated when Chloe’s mother, a woman with unfulfilled political ambitions, tries to take credit for Chloe’s generosity. But exactly who is Mr Stink anyway? Join us for a brilliantly staged version of David Walliams’ warm-hearted and funny story from the award-winning Chickenshed Theatre Company in association with Sam Bradshaw Productions, the show played to full houses last summer and comes to Southport Theatre for just 4 performances as part of a tour this summer. Packed with a host of original musical numbers, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry but you might want to hold your nose!
No age restriction

Families Fighting Against Crime Music Festival

Thornton Family Well-being Centre, Stannyfield Drive, Thornton, L23 1TY
The event is to raise awareness around the impact of crime in our communities and for families to engage and promote positive community cohesiveness.

Crime negatively affects well-being in ways that often goes beyond the residents of the community in which the crime occurs. While the immediate effect of crime is usually felt by the individual upon whom the crime was committed it can have a devastating effect on all involved and the wider community.

The music event will ensure we promote and put people at the heart of what we do, we listen, value and respect each other’s views, we develop a culture of challenge, ownership, innovation and improvement and educate and promote positive community cohesion.

The event will be fun and engaging for the whole family
