Emergency Limited Assistance Scheme - ELAS

Our Emergency Limited Assistance Scheme supports local residents who are experiencing severe hardship, a disaster or emergency. It is there to meet one-off needs by providing things like - PayPoint Credit - travel warrants - essential household goods - referrals to a support service. Cost of Living Payment 

You may be able to get a payment to help with cost of living if you are getting certain benefits or tax credits. This is a national government scheme with direct payment from the Government.

Household Support Fund 

The Household Support Fund provides financial help to Sefton residents who are struggling to afford energy, food and water bills.

If you receive an award under this scheme, you will not be required to pay it back and it will not be treated as income for tax or benefit purposes.
