Sites with the potential for new homes
Sefton are carrying out a study to assess how much land is available and suitable for housing development in its area. We are particularly interest in previously developed sites (i.e. brownfield land) and vacant land and buildings in our towns and villages.
We are happy to consider all sites whether you are owner or not.
The sites submitted may be included in the Council’s assessment of housing supply (Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment) and its brownfield register.
To submit a site, please complete the ‘Call for Sites’ form below. It would be helpful if you could provide an accurate site plan with the site boundary outlined in red.
Details of potential sites should be submitted by midnight on Friday 2nd August 2019.
Return your completed form (and site plan) to email@example.com or by post to Call for Sites, Planning Department, Magdalen House, 30 Trinity Road, Bootle, L20 3NJ.
Submitting a site to the ‘Call for Housing Sites’ is not the same as a planning application. Sites will be assessed for their suitability for housing, and a site assessment form will be produced.
Full planning permission would still be required before development could take place.
In addition, the submission of a site does not guarantee that the Council will support its development in the future.
Please indicate if you would wish any information you submit should be treated as confidential. The site location, red line and whether there is an intention to develop will need to be made public if they are to be included in either the Housing Supply Study or the Brownfield Register.
