Family support at Sefton Libraries

We offer so much at Sefton Council, whether that’s at one of our libraries, leisure centres or a family wellbeing centres. By offering joined-up support, we can help people become more confident or help them get back on track through difficult times.

At most libraries in Sefton, you will find the following services. Please take a look at the specific library page for further information and contact details, including opening times.

  • Books – standard print and large print, plus talking books on CD. All books are free for you to borrow
  • You can also reserve a book or DVD for free, if the item is currently in stock or on order.
  • DVDs for hire
  • Free Computer access, and free internet access. Initially you will be allowed 30 minutes access.
  • Free Wi-Fi in all libraries
  • Newspapers - Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, newspapers are not currently available
  • Story and Rhyme time for pre-school children, their parents and carers. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, these sessions are currently suspended.
