Meet Local Authority Commissioners

The Commissioning Surgery offers a valuable opportunity for residents to meet Local Authority Commissioners, the teams responsible for planning and purchasing adult social care services across the borough. Attendees can ask questions, explore available support, and share their views on what matters most.

These friendly and accessible sessions will provide information on a wide range of services, among them are:

Supported Living: Find out about homes with support for older and young adults with disabilities.

Technology Enabled Care: Learn more about the different types of technology and equipment to help people stay independent, this includes Telecare, Careline and smart devices.

Carers Support: Find out about the wealth of advice, info, support and opportunities for unpaid carers living in Sefton, including through the Sefton Carers Centre.

Day Opportunities: Discover the range of services designed to support adults with a variety of needs during the day, including day centres and community-based activities.

As well as our Reablement and Care Home services.

Everyone is welcome, and no appointment is needed, just drop in.

Find out what support is available

Hannah Sotendal, Assistant Director for Commissioning and Transformation said:
“These drop-in sessions are a great opportunity for people to find out what support is available locally, as well as to share their views on how services should develop in the future.

“This week we also celebrate, World Assistive Technology Day, a global initiative to improve global access to assistive products. In Sefton these sessions, especially advice on our Technology Enabled Care offer, will showcase the variety of options we can offer people. I’d encourage everyone to come along if they’re interested in discovering products that can transform lives and unlock independence every day.

“We’re here to provide advice and to listen directly to residents, carers and community partners about what’s working well and where we can improve.”
