Celebrate Culture, Music, and Community at the Third Bootle International Festival

Bootle Strand will play host to a vibrant celebration of global culture as The Bootle International Festival returns on Saturday 27th June.
This year’s festival promises a dynamic day of international music, dance, food and creative workshops, all delivered by the diverse communities who call Sefton home.
A hub for culture and community
Organised through Sefton Performers Network with three lead organisations, Sefton CVS, Collective Encounters and In Another Place. The festival builds on the success of the past years of celebration. It also marks Bootle’s growing reputation as a hub for culture and community. The event is much more than live performance and workshops, it also provides valuable opportunities to connect, link up and network with local organisations, artists and community groups.
Talent from across the globe
Festivalgoers can look forward to a lively programme of performances showcasing talent from across the globe and within the local community. The line-up will feature, Ukrainian Choirs, Bollywood Dancing, African Drumming, local musicians, international crafts and Giant Games.
These acts will bring a rich mix of music, rhythm and movement to the heart of Bootle Strand, highlighting the diversity and creativity of Sefton’s communities and creating an energetic, festival atmosphere for all ages to enjoy.
Bringing together a diverse and vibrant community
Maggi Aslet, Group Development Officer at Sefton CVS said:
We are really looking forward to the festival this year as we have such a wide range of groups from diverse backgrounds showcasing their many artistic talents. As a coordinator I feel very lucky to help run the event on behalf of the community groups, volunteers, creatives and local residents who give so much time and support every year. I can't wait to see all the performances and the many workshops who which will be participating on the day.

“This festival is a chance to celebrate the world on our doorstep without even having to go on holiday. We are so delighted that Bootle is becoming far more diverse and international; this is a great day to discover a bit more about the music, dance and culture that our community have to offer. It is great to host an event that is so well tailored for all ages and backgrounds. We love working with all the partner groups and can’t wait for this event!”

The Bootle International Festival takes place on Saturday 27th of June at Bootle Strand. Bootle Strand is easily accessible with close transport links from Bootle Strand Station and Bus Station; the shopping centre also has a large multi-story car park.
