Chance to discover the future of care at Council’s Technology Enabled Care marketplace
02 April 2026 3 min read
Sefton Council is holding a Technology Enabled Care (TEC) marketplace event, between 10am and 3pm at Bootle Town Hall, Assembly Hall on Tuesday, 7th April.
Latest innovations
This free event will give residents, caregivers, and professionals the chance to explore the latest innovations in Technology Enabled Care. They will also see how TEC can be used to improve lives.
From cutting-edge devices to practical guidance on costs and requirements, the TEC Marketplace is designed to give those attending the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about care for themselves and others.
Stay independent
Technology Enabled Care is equipment and technology that helps adults stay independent. It includes tele-health, tele-care, tele-medicine, tele-coaching, and self-care services that enable people to manage their health and wellbeing.
Sefton Council’s TEC team provides people with guidance, training, and advice to residents and professionals. It can also lend assistive technology to support people’s independence and safety.
Practical demonstrations
Sefton Council’s Strategic Commissioning Manager for Adult Social Care, Hannah Dollard said: “This is a great opportunity for Sefton residents, caregivers, and professionals to find out more about TEC close up and see practical demonstrations about how it can be used.
“Tuesday’s event is not a procurement exercise. There are no funding or pilot schemes attached, and attendance will not influence any future commissioning decisions.
“We just want people to be able to learn about the practical steps required to implement these technologies and get expert advice on costs and requirements.”
