Flood warning across various areas in Sefton

We have a yellow weather warning for rain in place today (Monday 30 September) so please take care when you are out and about.
Flood Warnings
Flood warning have been issued in the following areas:
- Whinney Brook and Dovers Brook at Maghull, around Sefton Lane and the Waste Transfer Station
- Fouracres and The Crescent at Maghull
- Whinney Brook and Dovers Brook at Maghull, beside Hall Lane, Sefton Lane and Fouracres
Flood Alerts
Flood alerts have been issues in the following areas:
- River Alt, Formby to Huyton

Flooding in Bootle
Earlier this afternoon (Monday) areas including Crosby Road, Seaforth Road, Bulwer Street, Bowles Street and Knowsley Road were flooded causing lots of disruption during rush hour.
As of 8pm the vast majority of the flood water had disappeared and we are supporting the clean up operation. Any households affected by the flooding are being offered support and temporary accommodation overnight should they need it.
