Help Shape the Future of Day Opportunities in Adult Social Care in Sefton
30 September 2025 2min read
Sefton Council has launched a new consultation to help shape the future of Day Opportunities for adults across the Borough.
Residents who currently use day services, as well as people who work in these services, are being encouraged to complete the short survey. The aim is to gather fresh feedback that will inform the ongoing development of the support Sefton Council provides to residents.
In 2021/2022, Sefton Council asked residents to share their views on Day Opportunities through a series of surveys and meetings, both online and in person. The feedback received was clear and insightful, helping the Council to understand better what people want and need from these services.
Now, the Council is seeking to find out if people’s opinions have changed. The new survey is based on what people previously told the Council, ensuring that earlier feedback continues to shape the conversation.
To ensure a comprehensive understanding of local needs, there is also a survey for social care providers. This will help ensure the Council is informed by every organisation involved in the process of providing services.
All responses will be used to inform Sefton’s Day Opportunities strategy, ensuring that services continue to meet the needs and aspirations of local communities.
Cllr Ian Moncur, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, said:
“This consultation is a vital part of our commitment to ensuring our services are informed by the people who use them and work in them.
“We want to ensure that everyone in Sefton has access to day opportunities that support independence, wellbeing and personal choice. Your feedback will help us continue to build a service that reflects dignity, respect and the ambitions of our communities.”
Take part in the survey and make sure your voice is heard. Your day, your say.
