Musicians, artists and music based organisations in Sefton have until 6pm on Thursday 9th April to apply to be part of May’s Liverpool Music Month and Liverpool Summer of Music.

Celebration of people, projects and creativity

Lasting throughout May, Liverpool Music Month will be a city-wide celebration of the people, projects and creativity that make Liverpool a UNESCO City of Music.

Then, from Monday 1st June to Monday 31st August, the City Region will celebrate Liverpool Summer of Music, highlighting all of the events across the summer calendar.

Sefton’s musicians, artists and music based organisations are being invited to use Liverpool Music Month and Liverpool Summer of Music as a platform for their own work by putting forward activities that could be part of these events.

Existing work or brand-new activity

This can be through performance, workshops, talks, community activity or other music-related projects. Proposals can be adaptations of existing work or brand-new activity.

Funding to support the development of a maximum of 20 projects from across the City Region is available. Decisions will be made to ensuring there is performance or activity happening in each city region area, including Sefton so applicants are asked to specify where their activity will take place.
