Sefton to Mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2026
21 January 2026 2 min read
Residents are invited to join an interfaith service to commemorate the lives lost during the Nazi Holocaust and subsequent genocides. This year’s theme, Bridging Generations, reflects the importance of passing on lessons of history to future generations.
Stand together in remembrance
The service will take place on Sunday 25 January 2026 at Christ Church, Lord Street, Southport at 1:30pm in the presence of the Mayor of Sefton, local MPs, Councillors, UNISON, Sefton CVS, Sefton Faith Forum, and students from local schools and colleges. Everyone is warmly welcome to attend and stand together in remembrance.
