Two new InvestSefton events for local businesses

InvestSefton, the Council’s business support service will be holding two of its popular events for local companies at The Lake House, Waterloo in the coming weeks.

Digital, Creative & Tech sector

Thursday 24th October is the date for the next Sefton Huddle for businesses in the Digital, Creative & Tech sector.

And on Thursday 14th November, the next biannual Sefton Economic Forum & Marketplace is open to all Sefton businesses.

Opening at 11am, the Sefton Huddle will feature three guest speakers.

Francis McEntegart LLB (Hons) Barrister MC Legal Ltd will be talking about the legalities of content creation, copyright and trademarks.

Professor David Reid, Professor of AI and Spatial Computing SMCSE, Liverpool Hope University, will give a presentation on Living in a Technological Flatland: The Metaverse, AI and Mixed Reality.

And there will be a Meet The Business session with Barrington Paul Robinson, film producer from Redbag Pictures Ltd.

Afterwards there will be sandwiches and nibbles, the chance to network and the opportunity to browse the Business Marketplace. The Marketplace will include the Growth Platform, Universities, Gather and LCR Connect and other organisations that can provide support to help businesses grow.

Sefton Economic Forum

Taking place twice a year, the Sefton Economic Forum is a relaxed and informal event open to any business located in Sefton, of any size and from any sector. Its starts with Breakfast & Networking from 8.15am, presentations between 9amand 11am and then the Business Marketplace and Networking until 12.30pm.

Once again Ken Clark from the Bank of England will be providing an informative economic update and taking questions from delegates. And there will be opportunities to network with other Sefton businesses and support providers from across the Liverpool City Region.

Other exciting key speakers will be announced nearer to the date.

Around 40 companies have attended previous Huddles events and over 120 representatives from Sefton business attended the previous Business Forum event in August.
