Postponed: Picturesque 5K challenge returns to Crosby Lakeside

Please note the below event has now been postponed due to unavoidable United Utilities works in the immediate area which would be significantly disruptive to participants.

The event has been rescheduled for later this year and we are already in the process of contacting and issuing refunds to those who have signed up to the event.

One of the most scenic and picturesque running challenges is once again coming to Sefton.

All runners of different ages, skills and speeds are welcome to take part in the Sefton Council Active Workforce 5km challenge later this month (Thursday 27th June)

Hundreds expected

Hundreds of people are expected to take part in the fun filled run around Crosby Lakeside, the Marina and the iconic sand dunes, with entry starting from just £5.

Participants can run or walk around the scenic course and will receive a medal for taking part regardless of their finishing time.

Prizes

Prizes are available for the fastest male, female and winning team. People can enter as a team of five or individually and compete alongside friends, family members, co-workers and strangers.

Starting from 6pm on Thursday 27th June, the Crosby 5km features returning teams from Sefton Council, New Directions, The Walton Centre, Southport Learning Rooms, Willow House Care, Southport Learning Trust and many more alongside members of the public.

Tickets are priced at £5 for Active Workforce members and £8 for public.
