People in Sefton and across Cheshire and Merseyside are being urged to use NHS 111 for all non-emergency healthcare needs ahead of industrial action by junior doctors.

Unions have announced a full walk out of junior doctors from 7am on Thursday 27th June to 7am on Tuesday 2nd July.

Urgent and emergency care services will be open and in the event of a life or limb-threatening emergency you should always call 999.

• Where to get an emergency supply of your prescribed medicine

Almost half of all hospital doctors are junior doctors and they working in almost every part of a busy hospital.
