Van Booking System
An appointment system is in place at all Merseyside’s Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) for people using commercial-type vehicles such as vans or trailers between 2 – 3 metres (external box dimensions).
Making an appointment is easy to do and is free of charge. Residents using a van of any size or a large trailer are allowed a maximum of 12 visits over the year to recycle and dispose of household waste (this includes green and garden waste).
Please note: residents using a standard car do NOT need to make a booking to use the Recycling Centres unless you intend to visit with a trailer between 2 – 3 metres (external box dimensions) in length.
Make a booking for a van or Trailer via the Merseyside Household Waste Recycling Centre Website. Alternatively, you can call 07774 787340 or 07774 787370
Asbestos Booking
Asbestos waste is only accepted at specific household waste recycling centres. Please contact MRWA or telephone 0203 567 4200 to arrange an appointment.
If you use a contractor to remove your waste, this waste becomes trade waste and it will not be accepted at the site. Your contractor will be responsible for disposing of this waste.
Alternatively, you may wish to use the bulky item collection service for the disposal of large household items. Please be aware any materials not put inside the banks provided but left on the ground will be treated as fly tipping and could result in a prosecution.
