No, as long as your vehicle passes Mechanical Fitness Test.

Any Enhanced DBS with access to the vulnerable Children and Adults Barred lists can be used with Sefton Council as long as you have maintained continuous subscription to the DBS Update Service and can provide the original certificate.

No, the DBS require that all documents must be original, valid and current and don’t accept downloaded on-line statements, photocopies or images on phones.

All licences are processed through our online portal

A new DBS application will need to be submitted.

No – Smoking in a working vehicle is prohibited – if caught you may receives a fixed penalty notice.

As the driver it is your responsibility to enforce the no smoking ban with your vehicle.

Yes, all premises must be within the Sefton Boundary.

No – all journeys must be pre-booked via your licenced operator.

No, you will be sent an e-mail with confirmation that your licence and plates are either ready for collection or posted to you based on your instruction on your application.

Yes, the test is based on our handbook which is available on our website. The test consists of 10 questions and you must score at least 7 correct answers to pass.

Yes, you must display door signs for the Operator you are working for at that time.
