Existing Businesses

We provide ongoing support to assist childcare providers to meet the safeguarding and welfare requirements, to build and improve the quality of provision and to improve the learning and development outcomes for children.

An annual training booklet is produced which offers a number of short training courses to keep the skills of your staff relevant and up to date. The courses offered will assist you in meeting Ofsted standards and the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory requirements. They include Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety, Safeguarding, and Risk Assessments.

Training

The Sefton Early Years Training Programme is designed to allow Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Childcare and Play Practitioners to plan their training across the year.

Its primary aim is to enable practitioners to meet the required standards expected and to prepare early years settings for registration and inspection by Ofsted and to ensure all practitioners are in a position to deliver high quality practice.
