Cost of Living Payment
You may be able to get a payment to help with cost of living if you are getting certain benefits or tax credits. This is a national government scheme with direct payment from the Government.

Household Support Fund
The Household Support Fund provides financial help to Sefton residents who are struggling to afford energy, food and water bills.
If you receive an award under this scheme, you will not be required to pay it back and it will not be treated as income for tax or benefit purposes.
Emergency Limited Assistance Scheme
Sefton's Emergency Limited Assistance Scheme (ELAS) is available to support local residents. This is for if you are experiencing severe hardship, a disaster or emergency. It is there to meet one-off needs and not ongoing expenses.
