Fostering for Sefton

When you become a paid foster carer with Sefton Fostering Service, you are not only fostering a child (or children), but you become part of a wider fostering network of social workers, fellow foster carers and training providers to make sure you get all the support you need to be an excellent carer for children and young people who need your care, patience and understanding.

We need you

We want to work with carers from a diverse range of backgrounds that can offer enthusiasm, warmth and energy to help children feel secure in their home. Your sexuality, being single and your religion/faith are not barriers to fostering with us. There is no upper age limit to becoming a foster carer with us, but you must be over 21 and in good health.

As a local authority fostering service, once you are approved to be a foster carer with us we can ensure that you are never short of placements and invaluable experience throughout your fostering career.

To find out how to become a foster carer, check out our Becoming a Foster Carer web page, come to one of our information sessions or call our friendly team on FREEPHONE 0800 923 2777.
