During the preparation of the Local Plan, the Council has systematically assessed a wide range of sites both in the urban area and in the Green Belt which might be able to meet identified needs. These have been consulted on previously during the preparation of the Local Plan.
This report sets out the methodology used to select sites for inclusion in the Local Plan. It also sets out a Sustainability Appraisal (SA) of potential development allocations, and incorporates the SA findings within a wider site selection methodology.
The individual site assessments are grouped by settlement, subdivided into those sites which have been included in the Local Plan (in policy order), and those which have not been included.
