Southport Crematorium

Southport Crematorium is situated just outside Southport in Scarisbrick on the A570 Southport to Ormskirk Road.
It features:

  • Located in 32 acres of woodland

COVID Guidance

We are now advising that a maximum of 80 people should attend burials and cremations at this time.

In the crematorium chapels: a maximum of 70 people are allowed inside and 10 people may attend outside, other mourners should not gather in the entrance or exit areas.

Mourners will be asked to wear face-coverings whilst inside the chapel and national expectations for social distancing should be observed where possible.

Mourners should wait outside or in their cars until the funeral is ready to start.

Cremation times will be 30mins long, 20mins in chapel.


Book of Remembrance
Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm

Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays 10am to 4pm

At weekends and on bank holidays, the Book of Remembrance page may be turned to another date if required by contacting the warden on 0800 091 0540 between the hours of 2pm and 4pm.

Please note that the warden is not always on site and so there may be a short delay in having the page turned. View the book of remembrance online.

Monday to Friday 9am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 4.30pm.

Please note that the offices are closed at the weekends and on bank holidays

The grounds open every day of the year from dawn and closing times can be found below:
November-February: 4pm
October and March: 6pm
April-September: 7pm
