Help and Support
If you think you are worried about keeping warm or paying your fuel bills here are some ways you can get help:

Please note:
- To access grants for boiler repairs and replacements we will prioritise vulnerable (low income and/or health conditions made worse by the cold) residents who have been living in the property for at least 12 months. The property must be more than 10 years old.
- We will require proof of income and need to see financial information from all accounts you have, including savings, ISAs and any other investments you hold, and including additional properties and holiday lets.
- Please be aware that providing incorrect or misleading financial information as part of your grant application may lead to delays, rejection of the application, or future withdrawal of any award. We rely on accurate and truthful documentation to assess eligibility, so it’s important that all financial proof submitted is complete, correct, and up to date. We also have the obligation to Department for Work and Pensions (DFE) to report any fraudulent activity.
- The Council have interpretation and translation facilities should it be requested.

- Warm Homes Loan Scheme
The Warm Homes Loan Scheme is a UK Government initiative that may help eligible homeowners and private landlords spread the cost of energy-saving home improvements, such as heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage.
Please note: This is not a grant. It is a loan that must be repaid.
The scheme is not run, administered or delivered by Sefton Council. Applications must be made directly through participating lenders.

- Switch Together Liverpool City Region
Switch Together Liverpool City Region is an independent group-buying scheme that can help residents access competitive prices on solar panels and battery storage.
Please note: This is not a grant programme. It offers a lower-cost purchasing option through collective buying.
