Sefton Council is taking Social Value seriously for all Major Highway Projects. The Council is committed to hold consultants and contractors involved in projects accountable for making a positive impact in the local area.
Southport Eastern Access Phase 1 Social Value
Throughout the scheme, Sefton Council have worked with contractors Balfour Beatty to generate social value and create lasting impact after the construction has finished.
Three new full-time positions have been created, in addition to engaging over 1,560 students in workshops, career talks or curriculum support, as well as providing 160 weeks of apprenticeships.
