Learner support

If you have additional support needs, our friendly and experienced tutors will work with you to ensure you have the best chance to achieve your learning goals. We can offer additional support with maths, English and ICT. We can also make reasonable adjustments to support learners with visual and hearing impairments, dyslexia, and physical support needs.

Safeguarding and Prevent definitions

Safeguarding

Safeguarding refers to the proactive measures and policies put in place to protect individuals, especially vulnerable population such as children or adults at risk from abuse, harm, neglect, or exploitation. It involves creating a safe environment, implementing procedures to prevent and respond to potential risks, and promoting the well-being of those in need of protection.

Prevent

Prevent is a strategy designed to counteract radicalisation and extremism. The Prevent Strategy aims to identify and address factors that might make individuals susceptible to extremist ideologies, with the goal of stopping them from becoming involved in terrorism or supporting extremism.

For concerns regarding Safeguarding, contact the Designated Safeguarding Officer, Angela Range. Angela.Range@sefton.gov.uk or 0151 934 4546
